Composer and musician, Nana Kwaku Osei, also known as ‘Nacee’ has revealed that he composed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2016 campaign song, Mahama Onaapo.
According to him, he was awarded a contract by the party to compose and come out with a song which would sell the NDC party and President John Mahama.
“I composed the Onaapo song because I was contracted by the NDC to make sure the song come out…so I did everything from the writing to the song coming out,” he said.
According to him, he used the song as an opportunity to promote Aja who he said is his artistes.
Nascee also added that he decided not to take a pesewa from the proceeds of concerts which Aja plays.
This revelation brings to an end the controversy surrounding the actual owner of the song which became a hit after the NDC lost the 2016 elections.
He however said that he did not feature in the music video because he was not given the contract to do a video by the political party.
