Gospel Songstress, Joyce Blessing has revealed that, the vehicle in which she was travelling when she was involved in an accident was an ‘expensive one’.
She reportedly was involved in a vehicular accident while travelling to a scheduled program at Kwahu in the Eastern Region.
Joyce Blessing’s husband who was driving, her assistant manager and one other person were said to have been involved in the accident.
News of her involvement in the vehicular accident sparked controversy in the country with some critics claiming she faked the accident to attract public sympathy and also to cult cheap publicity.
Speaking on Accra-based No 1 FM, Drive Show, Ahenma mu ns3m, the gospel songstress said she never faked the accident.
“Those who said I was not involved in any accident were not there so anybody can say whatever they can say in order to get followers, it’s normal. I leave them to God. I had the accident in an expensive vehicle, you being an elderly person, you know the price of a brand new Prado,” she told the Drive Time host, Rabbai Humphrey.”
She claimed further that the ‘the amount of money which was used to purchase the vehicle can be used to promote my lifetime songs in Ghana, Africa and the World as a whole because it is a huge amount of money.’
“It’s so funny but I thank God am still alive because I was thinking about it at the Hospital,” she said.
Joyce Blessing further thanked God and the owner of the vehicle.
“What he told me was that, Life is the precious so he thanked God for my life and that of my crew who were involved in the accident. He wouldn’t have known what to say because the people will think he had used us for rituals.
He asked me not to think about it, but rather pray to God to give me more strength to live and that’s the ultimate. I was really glad he said that,” she added.
