Journalism has been my prior job during childhood. With all things been so good for me, I am able to achieve my aim and fulfill the promise I made to my family. I am now a renowned sports journalist working with Ghana News Page.

Timo Werner has spoken about his dream move to Chelsea as he opened up about his ambition and made a promise to Chelsea fans.

The 24-year-old has already started his training session at Cobham since yesterday, just one day after his arrival in London.

He also visited Stamford Bridge when Chelsea grabbed a 2-0 victory over Wolves on Sunday, where he gave his first interview with the club.

And now the club has released his first exclusive interview as a Chelsea player, as he spoke about becoming part of Chelsea’s new legacy.

He told Chelsea’s official website: “When you have a decision to go from your old club and you come to a big club like this, it was for me a dream which came true because Chelsea is a very big club

“I know of the players before when they won the Champions League with Drogba, with my new manager Frank Lampard, Petr Cech as the technical advisor, it is like a little dream for me.

“I want to become, not a same player like them, but I want to be part of a new era here so I will play to try to give my best.”

Asked to send a message to Chelsea fans, Werner added: “I’ll try to score as much goals as I can for Chelsea.

“That is the big reason why they bought me, to bring the goals I scored in Leipzig here, and maybe score more goals than there.

Werner had an unbelievable record of 34 goals and 10 assists in all competitions for Leipzig last season.

The Chelsea fans would surely hope the Germany international could replicate that form in the Premier League next season.
