President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said that he had plans to appoint the slain Member of Parliament for Mfantseman in his next government.
The President made this known when he visited the family of the late Member of Parliament who was killed Monday.
He said “he was part of the young people I wanted to appoint in my next government. But unfortunately, this happened”.
The President said he has spoken to the IGP to ensure that the perpetrators of the crime are brought to book swiftly.
He said “I’ve spoken to the IGP about this, and I’ve told him that if I don’t see any action from him, then what will happen will happen”.
Member of Parliament for Mfatseman Constituency Ekow Quansah Hayford was shot dead on the Abeadze Dominase – Abeadze Duadzi – Mankessim Road while returning from a campaign trip of the area.
