Tema West Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema West, Irene Naa Torshie Addo has promised to vote for Carlos Ahenkorah.
The relationship between the two politicians has not been the best since Carlos Ahenkorah unseated the firebrand politician at the party’s primary last year.
It was rumoured that the sitting MP has incited his supporters against the Parliamentary Candidate leading many to conclude that the sitting MP do not back the candidature of the freight forwarder.
The two however smoked peace pipe during the party’s flagbearer, Nana Addo’s visit to the Tema West constituency as part of his Greater Accra regional campaign tour.
The firebrand politician speaking at the Greater Accra campaign launch of the NPP in Tema Community 1 said she was voting for Carlos Ahenkorah.
“Nobody is voting skirt and blouse, we are all voting for change…I am voting for Carlos Akenkorah…,” she said.
She further called on the party’s supporters to vote massively for the party’s Parliamentary candidates across the country and also vote for their flagearer, Nana Akufo-Addo who she said would win massively.
The Greater Accra regional chairman of the NPP, Nii Armah Ashietey earlier promised that the NPP will win not less than 58% of popular votes and also secure 25 parliamentary seats.
