Journalism has been my prior job during childhood. With all things been so good for me, I am able to achieve my aim and fulfill the promise I made to my family. I am now a renowned sports journalist working with Ghana News Page.

Ghana legend Mohammed Polo has revealed that he will win the World Cup for Ghana within five (5) years if given the chance.

According to the former Accra Hearts of Oak gaffer, who is arguably the most technically gifted player ever to emerge from Ghana, his topmost priority would be to assemble a standing national team within clubs in the domestic league for one year to form the core of his team.

He believes this will enable him to conquer the world by winning the global showpiece title for the first time for Africa.

“I will build a standing national team within the clubs if I am appointed as Black Stars head coach. I will assemble the best players in the league for one (1) year for which Ghana will win the World Cup within five (5) years time,” Polo told OTEC FM.

“That is called proper development because Brazil did same and they won the world Cup. We have plans but the leaders in Ghana will never give us the chance to work” He added.

Mohammed Polo was part of Ghana squad that won the 1978 African Cup of Nations held in Ghana.

Nicknamed the “Dribbling Magician” during his playing days for Ghana, Polo won the 1978 African Cup of Nations with the Black Stars.
