The Chairman of the National Peace Council, Rev Prof Emmanuel Asante, has said he wouldn’t love to be in Ghana if God gives him another strong 30 years of life.

According to Rev Asante, he’ll not be discouraged from doing what he considers to be the right thing for the country despite attempts by some political figures to dent his reputation.

Reacting to the alleged secret tape from the National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo saying, “For the first time, I’ll endorse insulting the National Peace Council Chair.”

Rev Asante said, “If he said that, then “probably he was trying to please his people, playing politics, but I’m not a politician. When I say the things I say, I’m not doing politics, I’m simply saying: let’s do things that will enhance the image of our country and ensure peaceful development. When we were growing up, we were very careful when speaking to an elderly person”

Speaking to Benjamin Akakpo in an interview with Accra based Class FM monitored by, the man of God said he wouldn’t love to live in Ghana if God gives him another 30 years of life because he has done so much for the country.

“Look my age, if God should give me 30 more years, I wouldn’t love to live in Ghana. I’ll be too weak that I won’t even understand anything, am ready to go.

I would want to say to young people who are coming up, don’t let us mess you up by our bad socialization, but think about this nation. You are just coming up so be careful, don’t destroy this nation for yourself and posterity”
