Engineers and planners, Ibrahim Mahama and three others have been dragged to an Accra Circuit Court over unpaid SSNIT contribution of 1,056,464.06 cedis.
The amount is contribution of employees of the company between February 2015 to July 2015, June 2016 to August 2016 and October 2016 as well as penalty amount for the failure to make the payment.
CEO of Engineers and Planners Ibrahim Mahama was absent when the case was called on Saturday.
Lawyers for the company told the court his absence was because the amount had been settled and there was some bit confusion over the court date.
Sidney Aubrey Stein, one of the accused and a Director Executive of the company pleaded not guilty to the charge of failure to pay the contribution as well as penalty for the default.
The court ordered that the other accused persons including Ibrahim Mahama appear at the next adjourned date for their plea to be entered to enable hearing commence.
The next adjourned date is May 13, 2017.
