An aspiring National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita De Sooso has promised to bring the former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings back to the party if she is voted for as the National Organiser of the party.

Speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, the current Vice Chairperson of the NDC said she would be prepared to go an extra mile to convince Nana Konadu to return to her ‘roots’ when voted to the position.

“Those who know me knows that I am more than competent in convincing our mother (Konadu) to return to the NDC…,” she said,

Nana Konadu left the NDC to form the National Democratic Party (NDP) after she failed in her attempt to lead the NDC into the 2012 polls.

She has since become an albatross around the neck of the NDC. She and her husband, former President Rawlings are now considered as allies of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Anita De Sooso in recent times accused Nana Konadu of masterminding an attack on her by former President Rawlings.

All these accusations, she said, should be considered things of the past as according to her, she is ready to work to ensure that there will be absolute peace in the party.

Anita further claimed that she will be prepared to accept anyone who would like to come on board and lead the campaign to bring Konadu back to the party when the need arises.
