Suspended communications team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Stephen Atubiga has described the National Chairman of the party, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo as the most ‘incompetent chairman NDC has ever had.’
Speaking on Accra-based Angel FM monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, Mr Atubiga who recently announced that he has resigned from the NDC said some decision taken by Mr Ofosu-Ampofo who led to the party’s defeat in the 2020 elections lay credence to his claim.
“Ofosu-Ampofo is not fit to be the chairman of the NDC because his actions and inactions makes him a bad leader…,” he said.
He further accused the NDC chairman of ‘taking advantage of his position to violate the fundamental rights of some party members and even that of some citizens.’
“He is not the bona fide owner of the party but he represents just a face of the party so he becomes incompetent when he violates people’s right and I am not afraid to talk about it because he is not above criticism,” he added.
To him, the NDC as a political party will be doing themselves lots of good if they get rid of Mr Ofosu-Ampofo who to Atubiga has not been doing well as the leader of the party.
“Ofosu-Ampofo will collapse the NDC party with his incompetence if they rely only on his decisions,” he added.
