The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has said that it will only take an act of magic for the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to overturn the results of the 2020 elections.
The NDC has complained of massive irregularities in the poll which saw the re-election of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The party has described the election as flawed and hence are refusing to concede defeat in the polls described as peaceful and well-organised.
The party’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, has refused to accept defeat indicating that the party is still auditing its statement of polls after the declaration.
But John Boadu believes the NDC cannot overturn the results of the election since according to him, the party has no basis for their claims.
Speaking on Asempa FM monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, John Boadu said he doubts the ability of the NDC to overturn the election in their favour insisting only an ‘act of magic’ can help them.
“It was a four point gap between the NPP and the NDC [and] it will take a lot of magic for NDC to overturn the Presidential election results of the 2020 elections…,” he said.
