Bernard Kwesi Appiah also known in the music industry as Kwesi Slay who is inspired by Obrafour and Kanye West has shockingly revealed the secret behind his dread locks.
The ‘Wedi Bet’ hit maker in an interview with Accra based, Class FM disclosed that, he has his Mum’s hair tied to his because it protects him everywhere he goes.
“This one you see here, the hair running down my face is very special to me because it’s a combination of my hair and my mum’s hair tied together, It’s very special.
“Everywhere I go, I need her closer to me, even if I have to cut everything, I will leave this. My mum’s hair is Love. She’s still alive but we are not living together, this is how I get my mum’s love and protection around me anywhere I go,” he said.
The Tema-based rapper added that, he prefers calling his fan base “Slay Nation” because he’s signed on to Slay Records and he doesn’t want to divert anything from his stage name.
“I will call my fan base Slay Nation. Slay Records and Slay Nation, Kwesi Slay, obviously all the slay Kings and Slay Queens are my fans…,” he added
Kwesi Slay is currently promoting his brand new track ‘Seven’ which features his namesake, Kwesi Arthur.
