The Brong Ahafo Regional Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC has likened the former President, John Dramani Mahama to a ‘street beggar’.
Speaking on Accra-based Peace FM as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, Abronye said the former President has now turned a beggar who now begs for recognition in his own party, the NDC.
“John Mahama is now a street beggar, he is even struggling for recognition within his own party…,” he said.
According to Abronye, this has happened because the former President has no say within the NDC party claiming further that some elements within the party are bent on ensuring that he does not lead the party again.
The vociferous NPP Communicator added that the clashes between attack on some executives of the party in the Norhern Region lays credence to his claims.
“The clashes are between the Haruna Iddrisu camp and John Mahama camp…the Haruna Iddrisu camps are in power so they have the upper hand…the one John Mahama supported didn’t win…,” he claimed on the Platform Show monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com.
The attack resulted in the regional Secretary, Sualisu Be-Awuribe and Treasurer, Kassim Bakari, sustaining injuries allegedly caused by the vigilante group, ‘Al-Qaeda’ boys.
Although details of what triggered the incident remain sketchy, the Regional Secretary has accused the Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila, of instigating the assault.
