The founder of defunct UT Bank, Kofi Amoabeng has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service to answer questions in relation to the collapse of the bank.

According to information available to GhanaNewsPage.Com, he was arrested and will be responding to charges in relation to the management of the bank.

He was picked up in his office in Accra this morning and sent to Circuit Court Four.

He together with many others are being trialed for the financial crisis which led to the collapse of several banks.

Former CEO and founder of Capital Bank, William Ato Essien is also standing trial on 26 charges including stealing of various sums in excess of GHS260 million.
