Several big wigs and supporters of the main opposition political party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) have stormed the high court in Accra to offer support for North Tongu Member of Parliament (MP), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa who is standing trial for contempt.
The big wigs include Former Minister, Omane Boamah and former Attorney General, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong.
The supporters who are clad in red arm bands are mostly from his constituency.
The MP was cited for contempt for publicly throwing away and kicking a court summon served him by a bailiff at the premises of Metro TV.
The summons came after the Founder and Leader of Power Chapel, Rev Victor Kusi Boateng sued him for defamation.
