The New Patriotic Patriotic Party (NPP) has settled that the Speaker of Parliament (MP), Mike Oquaye should be maintained as speaker for the 8th Parliament.
The party was said to have settled on retaining him in that position after a National Council meeting of the NPP.
Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, GhanaNewsPage.Com gathered from the meeting will also be maintained as the Majority Leader.
His Deputy will be Effutu MP, Alex Afenyo Markin with Nsawam MP, Annoh Dompreh becoming the Chief Whip.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan and Tolon MP, Habib will be the deputy chief whips.
