JUST IN: Parliament APPROVES 2022 ‘Agyenkwa’ Budget

The Parliament of Ghana has by a majority decision passed the 2022 Budget statement.

The budget was passed after a majority of the 138 MPs voted YES for the motion on whether the budget should be accepted or rejected.

The exercise was held without the participation of the minority MPs who did not attend Parliamentary proceedings on Tuesday.

The first deputy speaker, Joseph Osei-Owusu prior to posing the question ordered the table office to court the number of MPs in the house.

This action cancels that of the NDC MPs on Friday rejecting the budget statement.
