Information reaching GhanaNewsPage.Com is that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has invited Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye to assist with investigations into complains leveled against him by the former President, John Dramani Mahama.
The Police in an invitation letter sighted by your breaking news hub, GhanaNewsPage.Com asked Abronye DC to come to the CID Headquarters on Thursday, 21st May, 2020 at 10:00am.
“The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the CID Headquarters has commenced investigation into a case of an alleged publication of false news reported by His Excellency the Former President, John Dramani Mahama against you…,” part of the invitation letter read.

Mr Mahama, in a letter through his lawyer Tony Lithur, to the Director-General of the CID, said Abronye DC has accused him and some members of the NDC of plotting to kill some NPP personalities including his accuser (Abronye DC).
These allegations, according to the letter, were made by Abronye DC in a TV programme on NET2 in Accra.
According to the letter, Abronye DC also accused Mr Mahama of killing his former boss, the late President John Evans Atta Mills.
Mr Mahama, in his letter, said the allegations are false.
