The Chief Executive Officer of King Faisal FC, George Amoako has confirmed that the club has settled to use the Nyinahin Sports Complex as their home venue next season.
The Ghana Premier League side are considering to use the venue as their home ground next season, George Amoako has finally confirmed to that.
According to Mr. George Amoako, the club has agreed to use the Nyinahin Sports Complex as home venue for the 2020/2021 league season but subject to approval from the Ghana FA.
It is believed that, the Ghana FA has proposed to play the 2020/2021 league season in Northern and Southern zones but the Northern zone would be played at the Obuasi Lenclay Sports Stadium and the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park in Dormaa.
Mr. George Amoako explained that, should King Faisal be given the nod to choose a home venue, then they will choose Nyinahin Sports Complex for the 2020/2021 league season.
“Looking at the proposal from the GFA for the 2020/2021 league in the midst of Covid-19, it means that we might have to break the league into two, Northern and Southern zones.
“Just two venues will be used to play all the matches, home and away in our zone, it has not been firmed up yet by the stakeholders.
“It looks like Nyinahin [Sports Complex] will not be part but strictly Obuasi and Dormaa that’s what’s on paper now, if that happens, then we will have to comply but if given the chance to play at our desired home grounds, it is 90% we are going to Nyinahin”, George Amoako told Oyerepa FM.
