Michael Hesse Odamten is the head coach of Berekum Chelsea for the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season which kicks off next month.

He was appointed by the club on October 19, 2020 ahead of the new season.

He takes over from Asare Bediako who has been elevated to the position of Technical Director.

Odamten holds a CAF Licence A certificate.

The 54 year old trainer was heavily linked with the Hearts coaching job before finally signing with the ‘Bibires’.

This will be his debut season in Ghana’s top flight division.

The Hearts of Oak legend has had previously stints with Cheetah FC, St Mirren and also served as a development coach for the Greater Accra FA.

The Blues will kickoff 2020/21 GPL season with an away game against Legon Cities FC before hosting Asante Kotoko on matchday 2.
