Journalism has been my prior job during childhood. With all things been so good for me, I am able to achieve my aim and fulfill the promise I made to my family. I am now a renowned sports journalist working with Ghana News Page.

The Porcupine Warriors are set to announce the departure of ten players, Ghananewspage.com can exclusively report.

Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko will be terminating the contract of ten senior players ahead of the 2020/21 season.

According to Kessben FM, Coach Konadu has submitted a list of ten players to the newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah, who are not in his plans for the upcoming season.

According Ghananewspage.com sources, the list of players to be offloaded by Asante Kotoko include three defenders, four midfielders and three strikers.

Guinean international Naby Keita, Richard Arthur and Matthew Kelvin Andoh topped the list given to the CEO.

Youngsters Collins Ameyaw, Douglas Owusu Ansah and Kingsley Effah Osei were among the players who will be shipped out of the Kumasi-based club.

Former AshantiGold SC star Godfred Asiamah, Sam Adams and Abass Mohammed have been declared as surplus to requirement by the club’s technical team.

Veteran right-back Augustine Sefah will also be leaving the Porcupine Warriors following the expiration of his contract.

Asante Kotoko have refused to offer him a new contract after failing to live up to expectation during the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

Coach Konadu’s side are waiting for the Government of Ghana’s ‘greenlight’ to kick-start preparations ahead of the 2020/21 CAF Champions League.

Ghana News Page understands that Asante Kotoko will be strengthening their squad with four players for their next season’s campaign.

The ten players will be leaving the Kumasi based club following their poor performance in the 2019/20 truncated Ghana Premier League campaign.
