Asante Kotoko and the English club, Southampton would play two friendly games, according to a report by Fox FM in Kumasi.

According to the report, the two clubs would play one game in Kumasi and the other in Southampton, England.

The post reported that Kotoko would partner Southampton after Nana Yaw Amponsah’s appointment as CEO and now that he has been confirmed as the CEO, it is likely that the partnership would come true unless anything miserable happens.

Should this game take place, it would not be the first time Kotoko will be playing an English club in Ghana.

In 1969, the Porcupine Warriors beat Stoke City 3-1 in Kumasi.

Below is the line ups for both clubs.

Kotoko: Vanden Boosch, Assumanin, Boateng, Berko, Iddi, Ibrahim Sunday, Osei Kofi, Mfum, Malik Jabir, Abukari Gariba and Osumanu Orlando

Stoke City: Gordon Banks, Alex Elder, Bill Bentley, John Marsh, Alan Bloor, Willy Stephenson, Terry Conroy, George Eastham, Peter Dobing, John Mohoney and Hurry Burrows
