Former Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK), Victor Smith, has entreated delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to consider voting for incumbent General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia to lead the party as Chairman.
His claim, he said, is premised on the fact that the General Secretary has shown that he lacks the ability to keep party secrets from the public.

Mr Asiedu Nketia was heard in the widely publicized audio claiming that the party knew it had no evidence when it stormed the court.
He had claimed Tsatsu Tsikata was the one who presented the idea that they drag the EC and force it to present its pink sheets so they could use for their cross examinations.
A claim, Victor Smith said was unfortunate and hence called General Mosquito who is at the fore front of the Chairmanship race to resign.
‘Shameless’ Asiedu Nketia must RESIGN over leaked tape – Victor Smith
“If Asiedu Nketia is a principled politician as he claims, he should resign from his position and also resign from contesting for chairman as well…,” he argued on Accra-based Angel TV.
To him, the revelations in the audio tell that the General Secretary cannot be trusted to keep party secrets.
The revelations in the tape, he added, shows that he lacks the ability to keep secrets and ought to be shown the exit.
“I am not against Asiedu Nketia and he knows we are friends but if he lacks the ability to keep secrets like this, then he has no business been part of the National Executives of the party…,” he argued.
