The four Members of Parliament (MPs) accused of engaging in visa fraud has called on the British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin to start packing out of the country.

According to the MPs, the British High Commissioner to Ghana has ‘overstayed’ his welcome as his time has expired.

“The British Commissioner himself has overstayed in Ghana, he was scheduled to leave the shores of the country by February but he is still here…,” MP for Ahafo Ano South West, Johnson Kwaku Adu.

Richard Acheampong, NDC MP for Bia East in the Western region (NDC), Joseph Benhazin Dahah, NPP MP for Ntotroso in the Bono Ahafo region, Johnson Kwaku Adu, NPP MP for Ahafo Ano South West in the Ashanti region and George Boakye, former MP for Asunafo South in the Bono Ahafo region have been blacklisted by the British High Commission in Ghana for breaching immigration rules.

The four used their diplomatic passports to apply for visas for persons travelling to the UK and never returned.

The MP also insisted that his daughter who is yet to return from United Kingdom have overstayed in the country and hence insisted they should be deported.

“My daughter and my wife were supposed to return in January, and they are still there, if they have not returned, deport them, what is this with fraud…?,” he questioned.
