‘Mahama is the father of free SHS’ – Sammy Gyamfi

The National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has accused the President, Nana Akufo-Addo of seeking to profit from a policy which he did not originate.

Addressing a press conference in Accra on Thursday, Sammy Gyamfi said there are enough resources and statistics to show that John Mahama introduced free SHS when he was President.

“I’ve heard President Akufo-Addo expressing shock that President Mahama said he originated free SHS but why should he be shcoked, available data which I will share with you soon indicate that President Mahama indeed commenced free SHS in 2015…,” he told the press.

Mr Gyamfi went further to present audiovisual and text evidence which he said lays credence to his claims.

He claimed further that current President, Akufo-Addo is aware of these facts and hence remains shock that they will make such claims.

“The facts show that President John Mahama introduced free SHS, he will not cancel it but continue with the implementation, end double track and that is what he is offering and know amount of lies can change that…,” he said.
