Mahama: My government will implement a scheme to support master craftsmen and women

Former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, demonstrated his avowed humility when he embarked on a journey from Sawla to Wa earlier today – a visit which turned into an incredibly exciting experience.

Mahama took to social media to share his encounter with passionate and hardworking artisans in local communities along the route.

During the journey, Mahama made several whistle-stops to interact with artisans in the various communities, where he witnessed their unwavering support and tireless dedication to their craft. He expressed awe at the “appropriate technology” being used by these artisans to serve their clients.

In his facebook post, Mahama once again emphasized the need to prioritize technical and vocational education in his government’s agenda.

He pledged to implement a scheme to support master craftsmen and women in training apprentices and to provide support to artisans with funds and start-up equipment. He also highlighted the enthusiasm and zeal for change in the country’s political leadership among the artisans, further solidifying his commitment to implementing transformative policies for the betterment of all Ghanaians.

According to the former president, the energy and passion displayed by the artisans gave him a renewed sense of purpose and drive, affirming his determination to lead the country to greater heights. He concluded his post by rallying for unity, declaring his resolve to work together to build the Ghana they envision, characterized by progress and prosperity.

I had an incredibly exciting experience on my way to Wa earlier today. Between Sawla and Wa, I made a few whistle-stops to interact with some passionate, hardworking artisans in the local communities.

Their unwavering support and tireless dedication to their craft are not only awe-inspiring but even more the “appropriate technology” being used to serve their clients. Another reason why my government will prioritise technical and vocational education, implement a scheme to support master craftsmen and women to train apprentices and support artisans with funds and start-up equipment.

The enthusiasm and zeal for change in the country’s political leadership were evident. This only solidified my commitment to implementing meaningful and transformative policies that will uplift the lives of every Ghanaian.

Their energy and passion give me a renewed sense of purpose and drive, and I am more determined than ever to lead this country to greater heights.

Together, we will build the Ghana we want and move on to progress and prosperity!
