The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has called on the supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to go out in their numbers and vote for the party to secure a resounding victory in the 2016 elections.
Speaking at the signing of a peace pact ahead of the polls on Friday, the President said he is convinced the NPPwill win the 2020 polls but called on party supporters to come out in their numbers to cast their votes.
“Just as it was in 2016, we want this victory to be sweet and incontestable…,” he charged.
The NPP won the 2016 elections by a million votes. The party also won in several coastal constituencies which hitherto were NDC seats.
And this victory, President Akufo-Addo said must be repeated in the 2020 elections.
