Non Governmental Organisation, Masterpiece and Dream shapers foundation has donated to PPEs to the people of McCarthy Kope in Osudoku to protect themselves from the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
The donation forms part of their Education and Measures to be taken against the COVID-19 in rural areas, an initiative which endeavours to provide books to schools.
Among the things donated to McCarthy Kope were nose masks and hand sanitisers.
Masterpiece and Dream shapers foundation recognises the efforts being made by government and other Non governmental organisations to help the needy, especially those in the remote areas and support them.
During the NGO’s interaction with the residents, they encouraged them to ask questions about their experiences and surroundings and what they are going through.
The community lacks social amenities like; market, police station, school and the only health facility that serve the community is in bad shape in terms of logistics and operational equipment, no social-centre, no street lights and most importantly, they share water with animals.
Again, McCarthy Kope in Osudoku is compounded with sanitation challenges of which they worry of possible outbreak of diarrhoea and other unseen disease that may ultimately attack the community”.
They also also reiterated that, the problems in the community, they have made frantic effort to outline the shot falls of the community to the Opinion leader, Mr Peter but it seems to be a skyrocketing.
They therefore appealing to the government, their Member of Parliament to come to their aid because they are suffering.
