Comedian Michael Blackson has issued a public apology after previously accusing Ghana of stealing his $1 million investment.
In a tweet, released on Thursday September 19, Blackson expresses regret for his earlier comments, clarifying that his frustration led him to mistakenly attribute the loss to the entire country of Ghana.
He explains that, while he doesn’t know the exact individuals responsible for the mishap, his anger at the situation caused him to generalize and blame the nation as a whole.
Blackson likened his reaction to how someone might feel if they were wronged in another country, stating, “If you came to America to do something good but God forbid something bad happens to you, I’m sure you will blame America out of anger.”
Despite his frustration, the comedian emphasized that Ghana remains a wonderful place with “great loving people,” underscoring his affection for the country, even after his personal setback.
