Sensational dancehall act, J. Derobie also known in real life as Derrick Obuobi Junior has said Nigerian singer, Mr Eazi is setting up a company for him even though he hasn’t signed him yet.

According to the fast rising dancehall act, he aims to reach Mr Eazi’s status in the next five to six years because he’s the only musician who he [J.Derobie] looks up to.

He said, “I am really looking up to him, he is a very sharp man and I am always looking up to him and I want to be like him in the next five to six years”

Speaking to Nana Kwesi Asare on Accra based Class FM’s weekend entertainment show dubbed “The Big Show” monitored by, the poverty hitmaker said even though Mr Eazi hasn’t signed him yet, he’s ready to help him stand out on his own in Ghana music.

“As part of the emPawa100 program, he [Mr Eazi] is starting a company for me. A label on my own so that I can be able stand out on my own”

Ghanaian dancehall artiste who was discovered by Mr Eazi’s emPawa100 program, which supports underground artistes with their musical career by helping them release their songs, J Derobie said he is uncertain whether he would quit his job in the near future, but knows he wants to do music.
