Embattled CEO of Menzgold Company Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) is expected to visit the hospital today after his release from police custody yesterday, 6th August, 2019, GhanaNewsPage.com can confirm.
NAM 1 who was released yesterday hours after an Accra High Court, presided over by Harriet Naa Akweley Quaye maintained the bail sum at a cost of GHS1 billion but varied the surety conditions of the earlier court ruling.
Director of Communication of Menzgold, Nii Armah Amartefio, confirmed NAM1’s release to Accra based Class 91.3FM.
He said, “We met all the bail conditions, he is a free man now”.
GhanaNewsPage.com speaking to close of the embattled CEO of Menzgold Company Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah, he said, my boss will today visit the hospital before anything else.
Meanwhile, Nam1’s lawyers had made an appeal to the court to vary his bail condition by reducing the GHS1billion amount.
He was also to provide five sureties three of which were to be justified.
His lawyers later submitted all documents to the court registry after which he was let go.
The case has been adjourned to 3 September 2019.
