NDC blocked development in my constituency for eight years – Ken Agyapong

Outspoken member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon, Kennedy Agyapong has revealed how the NDC government never gave him singular developmental project for his constituents during its 8-year rule.

According to the MP, appointees of the NDC have been warned not to grant any request coming from his quarters.

“Eight years I never went to any ministry for a project. Whatever project I did, it did it with my personal money” he revealed

“They will not even give to me. I cannot speak for everybody but if you are in opposition it is very tough”, the businessman cum politician pointed out.

According to him, his portion of the MPs’ Common Fund is still in the pipeline because the District Chief Executive (DCE) in the area at the time was not ready to sign for him to use the amount to benefit the people.

“I have about hundred and forty thousand Ghana Cedis in my Common Fund accounts because the DCE was not prepared. …and I will not come here to ridicule myself”, he stated

He added that despite several attempts by elements in the previous administration to stop him from embarking on projects that will benefit the people, he still went ahead and had those projects executed.
