A 35-year-old polling station organiser of the main opposition political party in Mempeasem in the Esikado-Ketan Constituency of the Western Region has been found dead in his room.
Reports that reached GhanaNewsPage.Com is that the Abass Seidu was found dead after neighbours broke into his room after scenting a foul odour from the room.
Kofi Wayoe, a former youth organiser of the NDC in the same constituency who confirmed the news said Abass was believed to have travelled but the family could not immediately tell where he had travelled to.
“The reason we could realise earlier that Abass has died was because Abass mostly traveled without informing anyone…,” he said.
He said some neighbours forced his door open only to find his body in a supine position without any bruises on it.
Abass was buried on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
Meanwhile, a report has been made to the Essikad0-Ketan Police who have commenced investigations into the death.
