An MP aspirant for Ejura Sekyeredumase, Juliana Kinang Wassan has been invited by the Office of Special Prosecutor to assist in investigations over her money spraying saga.

The NDC aspirant in last Saturday’s parliamentary primaries was captured in a viral video standing in a car and showering cash ranging from GH¢10 notes to GH¢100 notes on delegates who had thronged the Ahmadiya School Park where voting was ongoing.

This incident has been widely condemned by well-meaning Ghanaians with the OSP taking a keen interest in it.

According to Accra-based Joy News, Juliana Wassan is one of the persons of interest in the suspected acts of corruption investigation commenced by the OSP in the NDC’s presidential and parliamentary primaries.

The letter inviting the aspirant said the OSP has commenced an investigation into suspected corruption in respect of her action.

“The OSP considers you as a person necessary for investigation. You are directed to attend the Office of the Special Prosecutor at 6 Haile Selassie Avenue, South Ridge, Accra on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 10 am for interviewing.

“You may be accompanied by counsel of your choice.”

Meanwhile, Juliana Wassan has defended her action saying she decided to dole out the cash to the delegates after realising she had the money in her car.
