Salis, the gentleman who allegedly recorded the fake video allegedly depicting the President, Nana Akufo-Addo taking bribe from a man and his wife has escaped to Benin, Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Kweku Baako has alleged.
The video which was released on social media by persons aligned to the main opposition political party, NDC showed the President an amount of money and T shirts from some a man and a woman.
This video, which was a secret filming, the NDC has claimed lays credence to the fact that the President is corrupt and must be voted out of power.
Commenting on this on Peace FM on Wednesday as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, Kweku Baako described the video as fake insisting that the video was doctored to achieve that effect.
According to him, one Salis of the Salis Newspaper who was once a staff of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye team recorded the tape and has doctored with the intention of using it against the NPP and Akufo-Addo.
He said that Salis after releasing the video to the NDC for a fee has fled to Benin and monitored how Ghanaians will react to the video.
The veteran journalist added that the video was deliberately doctored and a voice over done on it to make it seem the President is corrupt.
“But unfortunately, Salis’ face was captured in the video and we have the original, please don’t ask me how we got it…,” he said.
Mr Baako claimed further that the video was recorded in 2016 and the T-Shirts that were presented had the inscription, arise for change.
