A self-styled Nigerian Journalist Don O. Donny has been arrested by security operatives for fraudulently acquiring documents to prove his citizenship as Ghanaian.

The suspect who was arrested by National Security Operatives, tried to use same including a Ghanaian Birth Certificate, Ghana Card, Voters ID card among others to acquire a Ghanaian passport.

According to a number of Identity cards retrieved from him, he claims to be an international correspondent for Agape Newspaper and Africa Voice Publication.

Investigators revealed that he tried playing smart by giving his middle name as Ofori to suggest he was a Ghanaians but admitted he is not and has no relation by birth or blood to any Ghanaian.

When asked why he perpetrated the fraud he said “I am a Nigerian who has been based in Ghana for a long time…I have been part of the people and I made myself part of the people so I decided to do everything [the people do].

He is currently under investigations and would soon be arraigned before court to be charged with the offence.
