Information reaching GhanaNewsPage.Com indicate the Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have summoned Gender Minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba to appear before them.
The Minister who is also the Women’s organiser of the party is to answer questions regarding a recent feud between between the Minister and the Northern Regional Chairman of the party which has led to the trading of accusations in the media.
Otiko Afisa Djaba has accused the Northern Regional Chairman of taking bribes in various forms with the promise of offering them non-existent political posts. Bugri Naabu on the other has also accused Otiko and the Upper East Regional Minister, Rocks on Bukari of being ‘deeply involved’ in the murder of late Upper East regional chairman of the party, Mahama Adams.
The two were earlier summoned to the set of government, Flagstaff House to meet the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Otiko Afisa Djaba has since rendered apologies to the President and the public over her comments.
