Lawyers for Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong on Monday told a High Court in Accra that the MP could not make appearance in the contempt case being instituted against him because he is sick.
The Lawyers said the MP was “suffering from complications from the Covid-19 condition he suffered last month” and hence has been advised by his Lawyers to home for 14 days.
Ken Agyapong was expected to make his second appearance in court on Monday morning.
This submission by the Lawyers did not go down well with the Judge who ordered that the Medical Doctor be made to appear in court to explain the ‘excuse’ that offered in court today.
Social Media has since reacted to the reason offered by the Lawyers in court with some alluding to how the MP once mocked Obinim when the man of God offered same excuse sometime ago.
