Municipal Chief Executive officer for West Akyem Municipality, Hon Seth Oduro Boadu has expressed his excitement about progression of the Gov’t one district One factory in his Municipality.
“I was excited to visit the One District One Factory in my municipality to ascertain the progress of work”
According to the MCE, “My visit afforded me the opportunity to have first hand information on the preparations so far to roll out the facility. I can confidently espoused that, work is progressing satisfactorily with most of the heavy duty equipments and machines installed..”
Sunharvest Fruit Processing is an Iranian Partnership Project which was inaugurated on 16th November 2017 but actual production is yet to start.
The company will process Orange, Pineapple and Mango into juice for local consumption and Export. The company will also produce mineral water . It’s worth noting that casual workers were interviewed last week for test running of the facility and we are hopeful production will start in earnest.
He further said, “Being the municipal Chief Executive ,I want to assure all my constituents that I will do everything possible to make the 1 District 1 Factory see the light of day in West Akim municipality.
