One Military officer was injured during a shootout between civilians and security personnel at the Yendi township where the funeral of the late Ya-Naa Abudu Andani II is ongoing.
Akyereba Kwabena of Fila FM told GhanaNewsPage.Com that the cause of the recent shoot out remains unknown.
However, the injured Military Officer is receiving treatment. Residents who fear for their lies have started fleeing Yendi for Tamale.
According to him, the Military officers are seeing leading the civilians to the Northern Regional Town.
GhanaNewsPage.Com yesterday reported that one person was killed and three others sustained varied degrees of injuries when the two gates clashed.
That notwithstanding, the funeral of the late Ya-Naa kicked off this morning as part of the road map to ensuring lasting peace in Dagbon.
We cannot tell if the recent clashes and firing of guns would cause the suspension of the funeral.
