Commissioner of the GRA, Kofi Nti has promised to pay informants 25 per cent of a penalty against churches hiding under a fellowship to make money without paying taxes to the state.
President Akufo-Addo has also supported his proposal insisting that, churches are not business ventures.
But many pastors have kicked against the proposal arguing that churches registered as non-profit organization still pay tax.
Commenting on this on Adom TV’s ‘Pampaso’ on Tuesday as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, Counselor Lutterodt said he would not be shocked to see people who go to collect taxes from churches going blind.
This, he said, is as a result of the fact that the Church already pays tax.
“If those who will be assigned to collect offerings from the church doesn’t go blind, then God is not God…the God who can make someone’s scrotum go missing, will perform miracles…,” he said.
