Pictures making rounds on social media indicate that the government has started demolishing buildings at Ridge to make way for the construction of the National Cathedral.
The pictures which are purported to have come from the Twitter handle of National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP, Rockson Dafeamekpor shows that the glass window of the buildings have been removed.

The roof of some of the buildings have also been removed as well. This is to make way for the complete demolition of the structures on the land which has been earmarked for the building of the National Cathedral.

Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta revealed during the budget reading on Thursday in Parliament that the Government of Ghana will provide the land for the building of the Cathedral.
