Agona East Member of Parliament (MP), Queenstar Pokua Sawyerr has cut sod for the construction of a 3-unit ultra modern classroom block at Agona Mankrong.

The facility will have ancillaries – staff common and store rooms – and a 6-seater WC toilet facility.

“It will take the contractor maximum of five ( 5 ) months to complete the project since all the resources for the project are ready. The contractor will need your cooperation…,” she said.

The MP also pledged to continuously support the community in all aspects of developments despite her party being in opposition.

Hon Pokua Sawyerr further urged the people of Agona Mankrong to unite for development to enable her continue serving them.

She also pledged to buy jerseys and footballs for the youth upon a request at the durbar.

The MP after cutting the sod dined with the over 800 school pupils and town folks in the school.

Obaatanpa, as she was known also paid a visit to Agona Mankrong Polyclinic, which was one of the H.E John Dramani Mahama’s legacies and interacted with the management staff on how they are managing the facility and problems they encounter in their work.

She also donated an amount of GHC 1500 to the families of the two (2) boys who drowned in the Ayensu river.
