Reports indicate that the once afternoon voice on radio died in America where all her children live.
Afia Konadu who was married to a chief worked at Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) before joining Peace FM in 1999.
She became the programmes manager and contributed in no small measure to the success of the pioneer local language radio station in Ghana.

- Chairman General Kwami Sefa Kayi
The celebrated broadcaster has become the face of the Abeka Junction based station. He is the host of their morning show, Kokrokoo and has won several awards as presenter at the station.
2. Kojo Dickson
The radio newscaster worked with Peace FM for 18 years before resigning this year. His name became synonymous with the station’s evening news and newspaper review.
He is no longer with the station with rumours indicating that he might be heading to newly established Angel FM.
3. Nana Yaa Konadu
The newscaster was selected as the ‘best’ replacement for the late Afia Konadu who retired after 45 years of work.
Nana Yaa Konadu who went under the tutelage of late Afia Konadu took over and is still the host of her three talk shows aired on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
4. Adwoa Yeboah Agyei
‘Napow so hemaa’ Adwoa Yeboah Agyei has worked with Peace FM since the inception of the station by Osei Kwame Despite.
She worked under Afia Konadu as a news caster and now host several programmes on the station’s TV, UTV.
5. Sekyere Poporo Boateng
‘Wofa’ Sekyere Poporo Boateng’ is among the tall list of persons who worked under late Maame Afia Konadu.
‘Wofa’ was a newscaster and reviewed newspapers at the station. He, Kwaku Owusu Frimpong and former NPP General Secretary, Nana Ohene Ntow contributed in no small measure to the success of the Peace FM morning show, ‘kokrokoo’.
6. Kwaku Owusu Frimpong
Kwaku Owusu Frimpong became host of ‘young’ Peace FM’s morning show, kokrokoo after the exit of Nana Ohene Ntow. steered affairs until he left the station for greener pastures.
7. Nana Ohene Ntow
He is famous in the political circles as a staunch member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He was once the party’s General Secretary but lost the position to Sir John. Nana Ohene Ntow was a household name because of the professionalism with which he hosted the show.
8. Fiifi Banson
The ‘king’ of Drive Time exited Peace FM under circumstances which remains unknown. The ‘dynamite’ while working under late Afia Konadu was a household name and many would not miss his presentation skills.
He quit Peace FM for EIB’s Kasapa FM where he was the morning show host. He again left the EIB brand in 2018.
9. Kwasi Aboagye
The ‘Darling Boy’ Kwasi Aboagye worked under Afia Konadu and still works with Peace FM. He was one of the notable DJs at the station during Afia Konadu’s time and won the Best Peace FM DJ competition.
The man who signs off his show with ‘me kor’ once hosted the station’s Sunday Morning Gospel train. He now hosts Neat FM’s Morning Show and Peace FM’s Entertainment Review.
10. Billy Ocean
Richmond Oduro Kwarteng, Billy Ocean, as he is known was also a DJ at the station. The ‘afrafra hene’ is rumoured to be the owner of Ocean TV, a Digital TV channel.
Ras Abatai as Kofi Asare Brako is known was employed at Peace FM by Afia Konadu despite having no experience in Radio.
The ace sports presenter is known for his Twi commentary and contributed in no small measure to the success of Peace Power Sports.
He left Peace FM and joined Multimedia’s Adom FM before joining Atinka FM. He is one of the many persons who owns their success in radio to the late broadcaster.
12. Dan Kwaku Yeboah
The current spokesperson for the Normalisation Committee became the head of sports at the station following the exit of Kofi Asare Brako.
He also worked under Afia Konadu.
