The overlord of the Gonja traditional council has applauded the security services for the arrest of the key suspects involved in the killing of the late Akua Denteh of the Kafaba traditional area in the east gonja municipality of the Savannah region.

Speaking through the registrar of the gonja traditional council in Damongo, the overlord said the Savannah Region as one of the newly of the newly created regions in the Savannah Region must always be in the media for good reasons and not killings.

He condemned the barbaric act and warned the people of the Savannah region never to repeat that act.

7 suspects including two females and 5 males have so far been picked up by the security agencies to assist in investigation into the murder of the 90 year old woman.

The Key Suspect Of the incident Madam Shirina Mohammed alias Hajia Filipino, aged 40, the alleged soothsayer was arrested and brought to the Savannah Regional Police Headquarters in Damongo the Savannah Regional capital.

Madam Mohammed Sherina was arrested at her hideout in Yeji in the Bono East Region.

Police from the Salaga Divisional Command and officers from the CID department transported the suspect Hajia Fatima in handcuffs to Damongo and handed her over to the police in Damongo. She will be processed before the Bole Magistrate Court on Tuesday 5th August 2020.
