    Police report VINDICATES my position on ‘Kidnapped’ Tadi Pregnant woman issue – W/R Minister

    Western Regional Minister, Kobby Okyere Darko-Mensah has said that he fails vindicated by the Police Report stating that the woman who was reportedly kidnapped in Takoradi was not pregnant.

    Mr Okyere Darko-Mensah had claimed in an interview on Angel FM that preliminary reports by the BNI indicated the woman was not pregnant.

    “From their preliminary investigations, NIB suspects that this whole story was fake and that the medical doctor who has even looked at her revealed she wasn’t pregnant. That is the immediate information that we have. The police are still with her,” he said.

    He was taken to the cleaners for making those claims.

    But the Police in a statement backed the claims of the Minister and has since gone ahead to arrest the lady, the husband and one other person.

    Reacting to the Police statement on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, the Minister said he feels vindicated by the statement.

    “I feel vindicated, the Police report further tells that I was not lying…,” he said.

    The victim, Josephine Panyin Mensah, was said to have taken a morning walk from the Amanoo road to the Paa Grant Roundabout as part of her routine exercise on Thursday, September 16 and did not return.
