Security personnel handling the Tema Indians shooting Incident are alleged to be providing ‘cover’ for the suspects.
The suspects have been identified as a top Indian businessman in Ghana and his younger brother.
The two had attempted to shoot to death two Indians resident in Ghana.
It has emerged that a top government official has teamed up with some security ‘Big boys’ to provide cover for the suspects.
Our checks indicate that the ‘Red carpet’ treatment that was offered the suspects explains the slow investigation process.
On Tuesday, 24th March 2010 the victims were invited to the CID headquarters in Accra and were informed to desist from the publications regarding the incident that is circulating in the media.
The victims denied having caused the publications to be done.
A close monitoring of the suspects has revealed a military pick-up with a heavily armed men escorting them.
On 27th December 2019, two Indian nationals, (name withheld) were shot at close range by two men on motor bike at Pubin in Tema Community 7.
One of them previously worked with the suspects’ company and his appointment was terminated after he confronted the suspects about an alleged relationship between one of the suspects and his wife.
The victim had prior to the shooting attempt been threatened at gunpoint by the suspects.
We further gathered that the Victim was deported from Ghana with the strong warning that not to mention the issue to anyone.
However, he later returned to Ghana and the suspects started trailing him until 27th December, 2019 when the shooting incident took place.
We are monitoring the development and will name the said Indian businessman, brother and the Police personnel involved if the right processes are not followed.
