The 2016 Parliamentary Candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) for the Offinso South Constituency in the Ashanti Region has been shot severally by unknown persons.
Kwadwo Amoateng was shot in the right arm and chest by the persons suspected to be robbers on Thursday night.
The assailants were said to have opened fire on him when he was returning to his home. It happened between hours of 8:00pm and 9:00pm on Thursday.
His bag which contained an undisclosed amount of money and phones for his business was snatched from him in the process.
He was rushed to the St Patrick Hospital in Offinso where he is receiving treatment.
Seven bullets have so far been removed from him.
He is currently in a stable condition.
