Asante Kotoko stepped up preparations for the upcoming season after pummeling lower side Achiken FC, 6-1 in a pre-season friendly on Thursday.
The game took place at the club’s Adako Jachie training center and saw Coach Maxwell Konadu’s side start with a crack side in a 4-3-3 formation.
Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Abalora was selected to start ahead of Kwame Baah and Felix Annan, while the defenders were Samuel Frimpong, Imoro Ibrahim, Abdul Ganiu Ishmael and Mubarik Yusif.
New recruit Emmanuel Keyekeh played in the middle alongside another new boy Latif Anabila and Kwame Adom Frimpong. The attack was completed by Evans Adomako, Kwame Poku and Emmanuel Gyamfi.
Emmanuel Gyamfi netted the first goal inside the first quarter of the game. Adomako netted his maiden goal for Kotoko to make it two.
Eventually the first half ended 2-0 advantage the Porcupine Warriors.
Asante Kotoko then run riot after the break with the likes of Kwame Poku, and William Opoku Mensah who came on as a substitute.
Kotoko will next face Samartex FC on Sunday before preparing for their first premier league game next week.
