    Rawlings’ death is a ‘Big Blow’ – Akosua Agyapong

    Highlife musician, Akosua Agyapong has described the death of former President, Jerry John Rawlings as a ‘big blow’ to her music career.

    The vibrant musician in an interview monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com said she received the news of the death of the ex-Ghanaian leader with shock and disbelief.

    According to her, the late Rawlings was someone who was lively to be with and a great fan of her songs.

    “My 11-year-old son called on me and said Mummy, have you heard your Papa is dead and I said yes…I mean it’s a big blow…,” she said.

    She recalled how the late President and the wife would always loved to attend her shows.

    “I mean look at the 25th Anniversary, she just walked in and it was fun…a friend of mine in Nigeria said they would like to have Rawlings as a President…,” she said.

    Former President, Jerry John Rawlings passed away on Thursday, 12th November, 2020 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he had been receiving treatment.

    The nation has since been mourning the death of the late Ghanaian leader.
